Theo’s tattoo goes viral
A tattoo inspired by his dad has turned Theo into an online sensation, with his story reaching over a million views and catching the eye of celebrities, including singer Teddy Swims.
Theo, who is supported by Best Lives, has always admired his dad’s tattoos and wanted a piece of his own that pays tribute to him. With support from the team, he met local tattoo artist Adam Salisbury from The Inked Artist to bring the idea to life.
After talking through his design, Theo sat through an impressive four hours in the chair. He spent the whole appointment smiling and telling jokes, keeping everyone entertained. Adam was brilliant, taking the time to ensure Theo felt comfortable. Theo was delighted with the result, and he’s planning to build up to a full sleeve.

When it took off
What happened next took everyone by surprise. Adam shared Theo’s story on social media, and the response was overwhelming, with thousands of positive reactions pouring in. Teddy Swims got in touch, messaging to call Theo ‘a legend’ who ‘sat like a champ’.
Since going viral, Theo has loved every minute and says he feels ‘famous’. People have sent messages of support, and some have even offered to buy him tattoos and gifts.

Why Theo’s story is important
Beyond the views, the experience has given Theo a huge confidence boost and memories he’ll treasure. It’s also a reminder that people with Down syndrome and learning disabilities have the same interests and aspirations as anyone else, and the same right to express themselves.
The reaction to Theo’s story shows just how powerful representation can be and why supporting people in making their own choices matters. We’re incredibly proud to support Theo, and we can’t wait to see what he does next!
