Our sensory rooms
Interactive Sensory Room
This room is all about movement and play. It creates a space where people can be active and have fun.
The voice-responsive lights are a real highlight, lighting up in response to sound to encourage vocalisation. The infinity mirror sparks curiosity and self-awareness, while the fidget and sequin boards offer a hands-on way to develop motor skills. For more energetic moments, the trampoline and ball pit provide a safe environment to build balance and coordination.
Relaxation Sensory Room
The Relaxation Sensory Room offers a quiet, calming space for those who struggle to self regulate.
This space includes bubble tubes and a soft waterfall lights which help to create a peaceful atmosphere. For deep relaxation, the sensory waterbed helps to ease muscle tension, while the heat and massage mat works with the rocking chair to offer a soothing mix of warmth and gentle motion.
The Playroom
The Playroom is exclusively available during Sensory + Play sessions and is designed with younger visitors in mind. With a big focus on role play, it is a space where children can explore and express themselves freely.
The room also features a dedicated under the sea area, perfect for babies and younger children, and a cosy reading nook for those who want a quieter moment during their session.
Sensory + Play sessions
Sensory + Play sessions are a fantastic way for young children to explore and play. Each session runs for one hour and 15 minutes, with exclusive access to all three rooms so children can move between spaces at their own pace.
Sessions run on Tuesdays and Fridays, including dedicated SEND sessions. To book a place, head to the booking form at the bottom of this page.
Facilities and accessibility
The Wellbeing Centre is designed to be fully accessible with a fixed ceiling hoist in the Interactive Room and a mobile hoist in the Relaxation Room.
The centre also has a spacious accessible toilet, baby changing, and a changing plinth available. This means visitors can relax knowing that all their personal care needs are catered for during their visit.
