Becky finds her voice and uses it for others
Becky has been part of the Best Lives community for several years. She lives in supported accommodation alongside housemates. She values her independence and her right to be heard. She is not afraid to stand up for what matters.
Becky brings energy and honesty to everything she does. She enjoys making new friends and raising her voice for others. She approaches life with compassion.
Speaking up and standing strong
Becky is a passionate advocate. As a member of Voice for All, our client-led advocacy group, she plays a key role. She helps amplify the voices of people with learning disabilities and autism to ensure they are seen and heard.
She also champions inclusion as an LGBTQ+ ambassador. Supporting others to feel proud of who they are is vital to her. She is always ready to encourage someone to speak up or simply be themselves.
When she is not advocating, Becky finds joy in singing and watching live performances. Music helps her express herself. She also enjoys spending time outdoors at our horticulture day service, Growing Together. This allows her to build confidence through nature and hands-on activities.
Finding strength through support
Recently, Becky faced a particularly tough time. With the right support, she has kept moving forward. She has shown great resilience and spirit throughout.
Her support team has been there to listen and uplift her. They help her hold on to the things that matter most, such as her independence.
