Supported living

Through our supported living services in the North West, we help adults with learning disabilities and autism live life on their own terms.

We provide the right support exactly when it is needed. Our goal is to encourage independence and build confidence. Most importantly, we help people create a place they can truly call home.

What is supported living?

Our supported living services give adults the freedom to live independently with the right level of physical and emotional support. We offer a range of options, from shared houses where you can make friends to self-contained apartments for more privacy.

Most people have their own tenancy agreement managed by Best Lives or a housing association. We help with daily responsibilities such as bills, cooking, cleaning, and staying organised, while allowing people to maintain the level of independence that suits them.

Our person-centred approach

Everything we do is built around the individual. We know that the best support happens when we work in partnership. By listening to what matters most to the individual, we ensure that our care helps people live life their way.

Here is how we make that happen:

1.

Take the time to understand each person

We work closely with the local authority to carry out a comprehensive assessment. We look beyond just support needs to understand a person’s goals, preferences, and personality. We take great care to match housemates based on age and interests. Individuals will always have the chance to meet their potential housemates first to ensure it feels right.

2.

Create a care plan that feels right

We know that one size does not fit all. That is why every individual has a personalised care plan. We tailor our support to fit their lifestyle, ambitions, and choices. This ensures the right balance of independence and care to help them live their best life possible.

3.

Adapt with changing needs

Life is always changing, and so are support needs. We regularly review and adapt our care plans to ensure they keep up. Whether someone is ready for more independence or needs extra support, we adjust. We make sure every individual always has the right support to live their best possible life.
